News Release From Columbus OH, By XuGuang Pan The Chinese School Association in the United States (CSAUS) is a non-profitable, non-political affiliated organization. It promotes main stream Chinese through simplified characters, standard mandarin and Han Yu Pin Yin with its main emphases on promoting Chinese language education, enhance cultural diversity and exchange educational experiences and information among schools in the United States. The purpose of the association is to seek and extend opportunities in Chinese education and cultural exchanges between China and the United States. The association will have its first annual conference from 10/6/95 to 10/8/95 at Ohio Contemporary Chinese School in Columbus Ohio. There will be representatives from up to forty schools in more than twenty states. They represent up to five thousand Chinese students and students of other nationalities and up to ten thousand parents. It has been supported and recognized by both government agencies, local communities, private and public institutes. It is a historical event for the well being of our next generation, for preservation of Chinese history and culture, for enhance friendship and understanding between China and the United States.
